Unique location of Ustron amidst scenic mountain slopes, the difference in the altitude between the town centre and Czantoria Wielka and Rownica mountains exceeding 500 m, marked walking and tourist trails combined with sport and recreational facilities create excellent conditions for mountain hiking, skiing, cycling and for other summer and winter sports.
The guests who are not particularly keen on long mountain trekking are offered 28.5 km of marked walking trails.
Among attractions enjoying immense popularity is a chairlift up Czantoria Mt where, from a glade called Stoklosica, a beautiful panorama extends over Ustron and the Silesian Beskid, while from Czantoria peak, further up (30-minute walk), weather permitting, you can see the Tatras and the Malá Fatra mountain ranges. On top of Czantoria Mt tourists you can take a ride on the luge 710 m long.
Marvellous vistas also spread from the glade above the mountain shelter on top of Rownica Mt, which can be accessed on foot or by car. On Rownica Mt visit a cosy mountain shelter or a quaint 200-year old hut called "Czarcie Kopyto" [Devil's Hoof"] or head for "Zbójnicka Chata" [Highland Robbers' Hut]. More experienced tourists are offered 10 mountain trails (60 km long in total). This is also the spot where the Kazimierz Sosnkowski Main Western-Beskid Trail begins.
While roaming tourist trails you can admire stunning views and magnificent forests. A real paradise awaits lovers of picking mushrooms, bilberries, blackberries or raspberries. Enthusiasts of cycling tourism have at their disposal 9.5 km of marked cycling routes and numerous mountain paths. Those who are keen on recreation by the water can head for naturally-formed beaches along the banks of the Vistula River or for indoor brine pools. You can also make for a kayaking pond, swim in a boat or take a pedalo ride. Anglers have also been taken care of as angling ponds that have been prepared for them are a real paradise.
Tourists visiting Ustron in winter will not be deprived of attractions. Skiing lovers are offered 7 ski lifts, a chairlift and well maintained pistes of different difficulty level. A real skiing paradise is on Czantoria Mt, from where the pistes run for 1,900 m and 2,500 m, whereas in Poniwiec valley skiers are offered a skiing slope artificially snowed and lit along all its length.
